STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION EDWARD MAXIMILIAN ROLKIN (Republican) was born in Russia, October 12, 1850, and educated in a private school; came to the United States in 1868; sought fortune as a miner in Utah, Montana, Nevada, and California, and finally located in San Francisco in 1884, since which time he has been engaged in the hotel business. Elected member of the State Board of Equalization for the First District, November 8, 1910, as the nominee of the Republican party.
