Graveyard Ridge, Lake County, CA Submitted by Anita Crabtree Graveyard Ridge - Information came mostly from Henry Mauldin's Historical Notes. He was Lake County's first Historian, and devoted over 20 years to compiling interviews, etc. of history. The names listed below are just a guess. An interview with a lady gave the information that she remembered going to the burial place in Cobb Valley, as a small child. It was south and above the Cobb Valley road, on a small rise and there were many small pine trees. It is thought that this was the original cemetery for Cobb Valley. In cleaning up under the brush on this ridge, the remains of a small, old cemetery were found. There were a few sunken depressions, as if the bodies had been removed, and a small picket enclosure. There are a few names that might have been buried in this burial ground. All of the below are the children of Moses Quesenberry, who was born Aug. 24, 1818 in Greenville, Kentucky. He lived to be 93 years old. QUESENBERRY (Queensbury), Zacharay Taylor FINE, Jane Quesenberry QUESENBERRY, Possibly 2 children
