McIntire Ranch Cemetery, Lake County, CA Submitted by Anita Crabtree If anyone has additional information of this area, please contact me. This is an old cemetery on private property. All of it was fenced at one time, but no longer. It is very hard to find, and covered with poison oak. All of the burials within the area that was fenced were members of the Stephens family, who were former occupants of the McIntire Ranch. Reportedly, all of the children died of Smallpox. Large marble marker laying flat on the ground. Olive E. Wm. E. Children of James P. and Avill Stephens 3 yrs. 4 months 1863 1 yr. 4 months 1863 James (?) 3 yrs. ?? (badly broken small marker; hard to read) Indian male Buried just outside what was the fenced area, on south side. He lived on one of the Indian sites on the ranch.
