Richmond Daily Independent, Monday Evening, October 15, 1928 LANE SERVICES THIS AFTERNOON Last rites for the late Joseph E. Lane, 42, 710 Bissell avenue, were held this afternoon from the Wilson and Kratzer parlors, followed by interment in Sunset View Cemetery. Eclipse lodge of Odd Fellows were in charge of the services. Lane met his death last Thursday, dying late in the afternoon of injuries sustained while on the way to work at the local Standard Oil plant that morning. He suffered internal injuries when a truck in which he was riding was struck in the company yards by a switch engine. The mishap also claimed the life of Charles H. Cecil. Lane was a native of Missouri and lived in Richmond the last nine years. He was past grand of Eclipse lodge of Odd Fellows. Surviving him are a widow, Mrs Katherine Lane; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Lane; two brothers, E. E. Lane and H. D. Lane, both of Richmond; and a sister, Mrs Tiny Pemberton of Missouri
