Willows Press Journal Nelson Truran, 81 He enjoyed Traveling Memorial services for Nelson Perry Truran of Orland will be held at 3 pm , Saturday, Nov 5 at the Capay Friends Church in Capay. He died Tuesday, Nov 1, 1994 at a Chico Hospital. Mr Truran was born March 19, 1913 to Benjamin and Hazel Truran in Pasadena and raised and educated in Southern California. His first job was working on the movie sets in Hollywood. He worked most of his life as a heavy duty mechanic working in construction for local union #12. He retired and moved to Glenn Co., in 1971. On january 19, 1986, he married Barbara Kitchen in Reno and moved to Orland. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, racing cars and motorcycles, he was a rock hound and enjoyed his deserts. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Truran of Orland, a daughter Nita Brooks of Greeley Hills; Three sisters, Jane R Arr and Mildred Hennes of Hemet and Charmion Sumners of Pico Rivera; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. inurnment will be private.
