Frances Mary Akers, 78, went to be with our Lord on Thursday November 7, 2002.

Frances was born May 7, 1924 in Atchison, Kansas. She had been a resident of 
California since 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, 
Jay Akers, and grandsons Melvin Chaffee and Jerry Renner.
 
She leaves behind five daughters, Pat and Bruce Plummer of Calimesa, California, 
Jaynice and Donald Jacobs of Brookfield, Missouri, Nancy Renner of Yucaipa, 
California, Beverly and David Leach of Boron, California, and Sharon and David 
Limburg of San Marcos, California; sisters Doris Hurt, Edith Equals, brothers 
Al and John Mathena; eight wonderful grandchildren, Kim and Mitchell Chaffee, 
Michael Renner, Robert Leach, Doug Plummer, Jeff Plummer, Brenda Smith and Eric 
Limburg; four step-grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great 
grandchildren.

Services were held on November 13, 2002 at Montecito Memorial Park in San 
Bernardino, California. Pallbearers were six of her grandsons, Robert Leach, 
Michael Renner, Doug Plummer, Jeff Plummer, Billy Smith, and Eric Limburg.
 
The family of Frances Akers would like to thank everyone for the calls, food, 
flowers and support in this very hard and sad time of our lives.
