REPORTED KILLED IN ACTION

Although details are meager and lacking word was received here late last 
week of the death of Jerry Alderson who joined the Coast Guard Service 
from Mojave some time ago. Jerry was well known here by Mojave people 
because for a number of years he and his brother Sydney, who is also with 
the fighting forces, ran an auto repair business under the name of Syd & 
Jerry's Garage on J Street.
	
Next of kin have been notified by the war department.
