Shirley Dean (Davis) Atkins of Mojave, CA passed away on April 1, 2000 
in Lancaster, CA. She was born on December 22, 1931 in Zincville, OK. 
and resided in Mojave for the past 25 years. Ms. Atkins worked as a phone 
operator, waitress and nurse's aid.

Ms. Atkins was predeceased by her daughter, Sherrie Maute in 1960 and a 
sister, Alberta J. Frye in 1999.

She is survived by her sons, Samuel A. Maute of Mojave, CA, Tony A. Maute 
of Quapaw, OK, Edward R. Atkins of Palmdale, CA; daughter, Tammy J of 
Quapaw, OK; sisters, Martha Mate and Sammy Kay Baughman, both of Quapaw, OK;
brothers Ed Atkins of Mojave, CA and Bill Davis of Quapaw, OK; six 
grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held in Miama, OK.
