Earl D. Austin Passes Away
Mojave has lost another of her good citizens in the person of Mr. Earl D. 
Austin who for the past several years has been a resident of this place.

Mr. Austin was born July 28 1873 at Brookfield, N. Y., late moving to 
Syracuse where hi spent most of his life before coming to Mojave seven 
years ago in 1945, making his home with hi sister, Mrs. Cy Townsend.

He had been very ill for some time past and early last Thursday passed 
away in Lancaster where he had been taken in search of relief. Funeral 
services were in charge of Mumaw Bros Mortuary in Lancaster with the 
services being read by Sarah E Rowe. Cremation followed in Angeles Abbey 
at Compton.

Four children survive him, Carl, Paul, Lyon Austin and Grace Smith all of 
whom reside in Syracuse, N. Y. His sisters Mrs. Eppler of Compton, Mrs. Cy 
Townsend of Mojave, and a brother, Milton Austin also of Compton, Calif.

Mr. Austin was well liked in Mojave and had many friend who will miss his 
smiling face The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to 
every one for their kind expressions a sympathy.
