Mojave Desert News; 6 May 1948 HAROLD BANDHAUER DIES SUDDENLY Harold Bandhauer, well known grocer of East Kern, was the victim of a heart attack at his residence in Whittier Monday afternoon of this week. Mr. Bandhauer had owned' grocery stores in Manzanar, Independence, Mojave and Tehachapi during his 25 years in the business and recently sold the Mojave store to Mr. and Mrs. C. L Chambers who had worked for him for many years. Masonic funeral rites will take place in Whittier this afternoon from the Lanier Funeral Parlor under the direction of members of the Tehachapi lodge.
