David Benjamin Barlow

A memorial service was held on Friday, Oct. 1, at the Christian Life Assembly 
of God Church for David Benjamin Barlow, 42, who passed away on Sept. 24 in 
Tehachapi.

David was born on Dec. 20, 1961 in Montebello to parents Mel and Lillian Barlow. 
At an early age, he moved with his family to Whittier where he graduated from 
Pioneer High School in 1980. He inlisted in the United States Air Force, serving 
from 1980 to 1981. David was self-employed, working as a painter for the past 
20 years.

He moved to the Tehachapi area in 1995 from Downey. He loved to fish at Brite Lake, 
bowling and playing darts. David was fascinated with eagles. He was a trickster, 
always playing tricks on his family for fun. David was a very thoughtful person, 
always thnking of others. He attended Grace Fellowship church.

David is survived by his children, Nicole, Jesse and Dillon; parents, Mel and 
Lillian Barlow of Tehachapi; brother, Mel Barlow Jr. of Dothan, Alabama; sister, 
Kathleen Vaughn of Yorba Linda; aunt, Arliene Robertson of Tehachapi; uncle, 
George Fletcher of Central Point, Oregon; cousin, Victor Robertson of Tehachapi; 
as well as many loving friends.

Reverend Kyle Phillips officiated at the service. Wood Family Funeral Service 
handled the cremation arrangements.
