BARNARD, EDNA LEWIS "EDDIE"
A celebration of Eddie's life will be held at Westside Church of Christ 
[7300 Stockdale Hwy.] on Saturday morning, January 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.  
In lieu of flowers the family (and Eddie) request that you make donations 
to the Orphan fund at Westside Church of Christ.  Edna Lewis was born and 
raised in Brownfield, Texas where she met the love of her life, Ted Barnard.  
She followed him to Bakersfield where they married and started their life 
and family.  They farmed in the Maricopa Flats with Ted's brothers for 
twenty years.  Their children, Dana and Brownie, grew up in Bakersfield 
and on the farm surrounded by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  Eddie 
loved to bake, work on the ranch attend church functions, rummage through 
catalogs, attend to her friends and spend time with her family.  She had 
a special love for Woody, California and the house she built there and shared 
that with her friends and family.  She was active, involved and loved life 
always.  Eddie was preceded in death by her husband Ted; her sisters, Doris, 
Rosemary, Claudia and Jean and her brother Carl and Darrel.  She is survived 
by her brothers Bobby Don (Jane) Lewis and Wayne (Henrietta) Lewis; sister 
Joyce (James) Rowe, daughter Dana (Herb) Knowlton; son Brownie (Kathie) 
Barnard; grandsons, Nick Kelly, Puma, Zachary and Cody Barnard; great-granddaughter 
Lily Puma; numerous nieces and nephews and a circle of special friends and supporters.
