She was born in Waterbury, Vermont on October 4, 1924. She and her husband, Willlam B. Berry who predeceased her in 1986, were gas station and restaurant owners. She was past president of the Mojave Chapter of AARP, past Noble Grand of Mojave Rebekah Lodge, and Treasurer of LEA. Virginia is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mathias & Petra Berry of Erie, PA, Michael & Kathy Berry of Las Vegas, NV; William & Carol (Hersey) Berry of Mojave, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Melody (Berry) Smith & Kacy Blazer of Mojave, CA, Michele (Berry) & Timothy Thompson of Lafayette, CO; grandchildren, Amanda Berry of Las Vegas, Rosemary Ann Smith of Toluca Lake, CA, and Jersey Cole Berry of Mojave, CA. She was predeceased in 1995 by her mother Elizabeth S. Jay. She was devoted to her five children and grandchildren. She was also mother & friend to many others who considered her family. These include Dan & Annie Weiss, Dorothy, Danny & Elena Weiss, Bob Morandi, Mark Risley, Donell Coyne & Doris Sayer. She will be missed by one and all, forever held within our hearts.
