California City, CA resident, Jess W. Blocher, who was born on June 21, 1916 in 
Garden City, Kansas, passed away at home on January 11, 2002.
Jess worked until his retirement in 1976 with Operating Engineers Local 12. He 
was also a member of the Rock Club in California City, and the Historical Society.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruby L. Blocher; son Willard S. 
Blocher, both of California City; daughter, Maxine Organ of Junction City, OR; 
three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held on January 16, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Stickel Mortuary in Mojave, 
CA. Arrangements by Stickel Mortuary, Mojave.
