Seleta A. Bowers Passes Away
A pioneer Mojave resident for the past twenty-one years passed away this past 
Friday, October 25th at 2:45 in the early morning hours. She was Mrs. Seleta 
Alice Bower whose home was at 2101 Panamint Street. Her passing was at the 
Mojave Hospital at the age of 62 years. A widow, she is survived by five 
daughters, only one of whom, Norma Jean Bokis, lives here in Mojave. The others 
are: Ruby English of Taft, California: Dorothy Moore of Redlands, California: 
Blanch English of Boron, California: and Georgia Graves of Santa Monica. Alice 
also leaves three sisters, Irene Walker and Orma Meyers in Missouri and Mary 
Smith of Michigan, also another brother George Pruitt in Missouri.

Services were held in the O’Donnell Funeral Chapel at 10:30 o’clock on Monday 
with Rev. Coe officiating. Mrs. Rachel Hodges was organist as well as soloist. 
Burial followed the services in the Mojave District Cemetery.
