Robert G. "Bob" Boyd, 82, of North Edwards, intrepid desert explorer and 
natural storyteller, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 15, 2004.
Bob was friend to man and tortoise alike, and is survived by family and 
countless friends who will miss him dearly. Final respects can be paid at 
the East Kern Cemetery in Mojave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made 
to the Desert Tortoise Preserve in California Robert G. "Bob" Boyd City.
