Thelma J. Carrington Born in Alpena, Michigan on December 9, 1931 passed away 
on September 14, 2003 at the age of 71. Mom died at home with her family by 
her side. A celebration of her life will be held for family and friends at 
the VFW Post #9375 in California City, California at 2 p.m. on Saturday, 
September 20. She was a loving wife and devoted mother who loved life. Her 
family would like you to come and share your memories of Thelma on this special 
day to celebrate her much lived life. She touched all those who knew her, with 
her warmth, generosity and humor. She was also very active in the VFW, American 
Legion and Moose Lodge. She is survived by her husband, Lee Carrington, five 
children, Dennis, Mark, Cynthia, Cherie and Michael; nine grandchildren, one 
great grandchild; as well as brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and many 
other family members. She will be deeply missed by her family, loved ones and 
many friends. Memorial services will be conducted by Rev. Ron Sparks of the 
Community Church of California City. Thelma's cremation services was by Stickel 
Mortuary of Mojave.
