Source Unknown; Date Unknown A graveside funeral service was held Thursday, August 13 at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery-Eastside for Ethel Dorothy Cassil, 81, who passed away in a Salt Lake City hospital August 8. Mrs. Cassil was born in Raymond, Minnesota June 26, 1917. She was married to Louis Richard Cassil in Long Beach on February 14, 1941. They moved to Tehachapi in 1978 and approximately four years ago, she moved to Salt Lake City and made her home with her son, David. Mrs. Cassil was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She was involved in the activities of her church. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Cassil is survived by her son, David Cassil; grandchildren, Brian Cassil, Amy Cassil and Clinton Cassil; great-grandson, Carson Cassil; great- granddaughters, Madison Cassil, Kalie Wintch; sister, Alice Northcutt of Riverside. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Richard Cassil on March 1, 1994. Bishop Boyd Young officiated at the service. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
