Funeral services for Richard Cheney who passed away at the family home in Mojave 
on September 6 were conducted Thursday at the Community Church by Rev. W. Judson 
Oldfield. A native Californian he had been interested in mining in this district 
for a number of years, but, for months has been suffering from asthma and has 
been unable to work. His widow, Mrs. Grace Cheney, four sons and tour daughters 
survive. Interment was in Mojave cemetery.
