Former Mojave resident Alana "Elaine" Watson Church
MOJAVE — Alana Coral Watson Church, known to her friends in Mojave when she was 
growing up as Elaine Watson, passed away May 2 at her home in Upland, California.
Mrs. Church and her brother James attended Mojave Elementary School in the 1940s 
and 50s.
Mrs. Church, 68, lived in Upland for 35 years and is survived by her husband of 
34 years, Ralph. She was previously married to Harold Ulrich and Harry Potter.
She is also survived by a son, Harold Ulrich, Jr., of Wasilla, Alaska; stepson 
Steven Church of Laughlin, Nevada; three grandchildren, sisters Margaret Slade 
of Grass Valley, Jeanne Mayberry of Bakersfield, Kay Zier of Reno, and many 
nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be made to the American Cancer 
Society.
