He was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army prior to coming to Boron to be employed by U.S. Borax Company. He was a member of the Masonic Lodges in Boron/Rosamond; a member of the Scottish Rite/Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Boron; a son, Robert of Colorado; a daughter, Dora Neely of Boron; his mother, Nina Davis; a sister, Justina Beaton both of Perris; a brother, Laurence of Las Vegas and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held on February 9 at the Boron Masonic Lodge 822 Hall, followed by internment in the Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster.
