Source Unknown; Date Unknown Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, October 3, at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello for Federico Leyva Cobo, Sr., who passed away at his Tehachapi residence on September_28 Mr. Cobo was born March 7, 1922 in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He was married on January 9, 1943 to Margarita Castro in Juarez, Mexico. She preceded him in death on March 29, 1990. Mr. Cobo worked as a sheet metal machinist for Western Lightolier for a period of 20 years. Among his many interests in life was watching sports and he loved both building and carpentry. He certainly' had a "green thumb" and was a great gardener. He was affiliated with the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. Mr. Cobo is survived by his sons, Federico C. Cobo, Jr. of Tehachapi and Ricardo C. Cobo of Lake Elsinore; daughter, Guadalupe C. Bouseman of Tehachapi; grandchildren, Ernesto Perez, Jr., of Tehachapi, Elizabeth Plascencia, April Cobo, Debby Cobo, all three of Lake Elsinore, Federico Cobo III and Tony Cobo of Bakersfield, one great-grandchild; brothers, Lalo Cobo of Santa Ana, Ricardo Cobo and Ramiro Cobo, both of El Paso, Texas. Presider, Mr. Rod Recendez of the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Montebello officiated at the graveside service. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
