1929 - 1998
Bill "BJ" Cochran, 69, passed away December 12 in a Bakersfield hospital. He was 
born November 7, 1929 in South Dakota.
He was a veteran of the Korean War. After his discharge, he bought a walnut 
orchard near Sacramento. He later moved to central California where he worked for 
the Sunshine Gold Mine.
BJ came to Tehachapi in 1996, when he met Norma Markey. They married May 31, 1996.
He was a generous and kind man who always thought of his wife's happiness first. 
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
