Coffill, 75, well known and a long resident of Mojave passed away suddenly on Monday afternoon of this week, at the local hospital immediately after he had been taken there by Deputy Sheriff Glen Roberts and Constable George Hodges. He had passed on when Dr. Horswill came to examine him. "Micky", as he was affectionately known to all his friends, came to. Mojave in 1905 and has resided here continuously ever since. He always had a pleasant word far everyone and was known as a man whose word was as good as his bond. In doing business with him one never needed a legal paper to protect his interests for what Micky told you was what he would stand by. Well to do, his charities were numerous although no one knew what they were, for he was a man who did not believe in letting his right hand know what his left was doing, to quote the scriptures. He leaves two sisters who reside in Canada, his brother-in- law, John Nestor of Mojave and his niece, Mrs. Vernon Majors of Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic. Church and the body will lie in state in the mortuary of O'Donnell's Funeral Home which firm has charge of all arrangements. Burial will take place in the Union Cemetery in Bakersfield beside the grave of his beloved wife, who passed on four years ago. And in closing we can only pay him that greatest of all compliments, "He Was A Man." NOTE: Name: Aubrey Dewolf Cofill b. 05 Jun 1869, Canada d. 15 Oct 1945, Mojave, Kern, Calif.
