Joy Ruth Daigneault, a longtime resident of Mojave, California, passed away on 
February 5, 2003, in Costa Mesa, California. 
Joy was born on December 4, 1927 in Bloomington, California. She was predeceased 
by her parents, Elijah and Gladys Bell, and her husband Roland Daigneault. She 
is survived by her three sisters, Virginia Brown, Peggy Rosebery and Carol 
McKnight all of Turlock, California; seven children, Lawrence Root of California 
City, California, Paula Counter of Boron, California, Ricky Root of Mojave, 
California, Stephen Root of Vacaville, California; David Kirkpatrick and Michael 
Kirkpatrick of Carlsbad, California; two stepsons, Russell Daignault and Mark 
Daignault of Colorado, 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren with two more 
expected this year; also several nieces and nephews. Services were held at 
Stickel Mortuary in Mojave on February 9, 2003 at 3 p.m.
