(Jimmy) Darr, 82, a former Casa Grande resident, passed away on December 7, 1998, at Victorville, CA. Mr. Darr was born to Sam and Leona Darr August 3,1916, in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1935, and later graduated from the University of Nevada in Reno. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. His final tour of duty was at Edwards Air Force Base in California. When he left the service, he remained in Boron, California, where he was living at the time of his death. Friends remember him as an energetic daredevil with many stories to tell of growing up in Casa Grande in the 1920's and 30's. He is survived by his wife, Joann Darr; three sons, James Raymond Darr, Donald Martin Darr, and Dennis Lee Darr; three sisters, Dorothy Crooker of Modesto, Elaine Dill of Turlock, and Sammie Caywood of Casa Grande; and his many grandchildren. No services were held.
