Source Unknown; Date Unknown Rosamond pioneer Myrt Davis passes Born in 1915 at Oak Creek DESERT NEWS STAFF REPORT ROSAMOND — Myrtle Elizabeth "Myrt" Davis, born at Oak Creek west of Mojave December 9, 1915, passed away November 16 at her home in Rosamond. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of pioneers Rawley and Ina Duntley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Davis, granddaughter Samantha Davis, brother Lawrence Duntley, and sister Marjorie Cornielison. Mrs. Davis leaves behind five children and their spouses, Sharon and Bob Fordham, Ina and Glen Scott, Rawley Davis and Theresa Kutas, Charley and Judy Davis, and Jeff and Vickie Davis, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, and many friends and extended family. Services' were held Wednesday morning at Mumaw Funeral Home in Lancaster, followed by interment in Lancaster Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
