Dietz, well known Mojave resident, passed away at his home February 1. He had lived here for 17 years, and had been employed as a switchman on the Southern Pacific Railroad for some time. He is survived by his widow, Pansy, and two sons, John of Mojave, and Carl of Oroville, Calif., and two grandsons. Mr. Dietz was born March 20, l889 in Aurora, Neb. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 681 of that city. Funeral services were conducted at the Community Congregational Church Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Past Worshipful Master W. L Woods of Tehachapi Lodge No 313, F. & A. M., officiating with the Masonic ritual. Rev. Ralph Jeffs, of Tehachapi spoke and the Mmes. Rachel Hodges and Leanis Richardson sang appropriate numbers accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Glen Clement, The Pallbearers were Henri Chenard, Jack Pappenberg, Jack Houck, Herman Rutlin, R. O. Carmichael, and Mr. Powers of Los Angeles. Honorary pallbearers were J. L. Adam, Max Carol, Art La Point, Joe Mobley, Henry Bartholomew, and Geo. Bennett. Burial was in Mojave Cemetery under the direction of the O/Donnell Funeral Home. CARD OF THANKS The family of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Dietz desire to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all their friends who in any way helped them in their hour of need caused by the death of their dear husband and father this past week. Especially do we extend our thanks to the members of Tehachapi Masonic Lodge No. 313 for their efforts at the funeral services and for all the beautiful flowers presented. MRS, W. L.
