Holderness The many friends of Mrs. Ethel Dilgard are grieved to hear of her passing ay Sunday morning. Mrs. Dilgard and her husband, Mr. Jay Dilgard, came to California from Indiana in 1949 & stayed in Pasadena until 1950 when they moved to Cantil to live with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sprott, David, Michael, Roberta, Samuel and James. Mr. Dilgard passed away in 1952. Mrs. Dilgard continued to live with her daughter until hospitalized in the Stony Brook Retreat at Keene, but came home occasionally for a visit. Her last visit was quite recent and she spent the Christmas holidays with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Virginia Sprott, Cantil, a son, Mr. Ray Dilgard of Los Angeles and 10 grand children, a brother, Mr. J. B. Dilgard of Trinidad, Colo. and another brother, Mr. Vern Dilgard of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Services will be held in the O'Donnell Funeral Home Chapel of Mojave, burial will take place in Glenn Haven Memorial Park, San Fernando, California, Wednesday, February 22, 1956. Officiant will be Rev. Edith Blankenship of the Cantil Foursquare Church.
