Heart Attack Claims L.A. Man
O'Donnell's ambulance was called to the junction of Hiways 395 and 6 Sunday, 
March 1st when Lloyd Friend Durkee suffered a heart attack while riding in a car 
with two other occupants. Mr. Durkee, 48, was pronounced dead on arrival at the 
Kern County Fire Station. He leaves a wife, Kathleen and a son, Edward James, 4. 
Services and burial will be in Los Angeles where he was a self-employed frame 
maker.
