All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Source Unknown; Date Unknown Nov. 7, 1932 – Sept. 12, 2004 Knute Franklin Edwards, 71, passed away Sept. 12 in Tehachapi. He was born Nov. 7, 1932 in South Hampton, N.Y. Knute served in the United States Air Force as a staff sergeant from 1951 to 1955. He moved to Lancaster in 1956 where he worked for many years in the aircraft industry. In 1990, he established Knute Express Bus Touring Service in Tehachapi. He thoroughly enjoyed all the friends he toured with. His favorite trips were to Laughlin, Nev. Knute was a past president of the Antelope Valley Antique Car Club. Restoring antique cars was his favorite pastime. Knute is survived by daughters, Kathleen Riley and husband Bill of Palmdale, Cynthia Christ and husband Marvin of Lancaster, Marianne Evans and husband Scott of Lancaster, Bonnie O’Connor and husband Kelly of Palmdale; sons, David Edwards of Reno, Nev. and Alan Edwards of Santa Barbara; seven grandchildren; and brothers, George Edwards and wife Dottie of Virginia and Amund Edwards of New York.
