P. depot since 1941, passed away after a lengthy illness. He entered the hospital just a few weeks after his wife died last November. Mr. Egan has first worked in Mojave in 1927 and was later Postmaster at Owenyo from 1933 to 1938. He returned to railroad work in Bakersfield and later transferred to Mojave where he worked continuously until his untimely passing. We were unable to learn of any survivors and apparently he had no children. Funeral services were held in Bakersfield, Saturday, May 12th with interment in Union Cemetery in that city.
