August 31, 1957 — December 24, 2004 
Cynthia Diane Fairchild of Boron, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2004 at home 
after a short illness. Born in Lancaster, California, she was the daughter of Clayton A. 
Fairchild and Shirley A. (Fairchild) Krob. She lived most of her life in Boron, attending 
school from Kindergarten through 12th grade there. She experienced a variety of 
occupations in her life, but was always a homemaker at heart. She enjoyed reading and 
writing letters and poetry. She loved children and animals and was especially fond of 
cats. Cindy was of the Christian faith. 
She is survived by her parents, Clayton A. of Boron, Shirley of Fresno, sister Debra A. 
and her husband Donald M. Jeffus of Morro Bay, California, 2 nephews, Christopher M. 
and wife Monica (Licea) Jeffus of Santa Barbara, California and Keith F. Jeffus, partner 
of Summer Kostik, Santa Rosa, California. She was predeceased by numerous 
grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all of whom will be overjoyed to have 
her join them…which shall comfort those of us who will miss her so. 
A memorial service will be held on January 7, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Mojave Cemetery and a 
gathering will follow at the Boron VFW Hall.
