Aged Resident Dies in Hospital
Robert Bruce Hammond passed away November 25th at the age of 76 in the Kern General 
Hospital, Bakersfield. Mr. Hammond came to Mojave a little over a year ago for his health, 
living at 522 J Street. In his short time here he endeared himself to all those who had contact 
with him. He was best known by the members of the Mojave Baptist Church where he was a 
member.
Mr. Hammond was a resident of California for 25 years, coming here from Indianapolis, Ind. 
His burial took place in that city.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. W. Napier of Chicago and a sister, Mrs. Ella White, of 
Indianapolis. His daughter was here to spend Thanksgiving with her father.
