Rosamond Resident Passes Away
A resident of 12 years, Mr. Joe Harvell passed away Thursday, February 21, 1957 
at Tulare where he was being treated for illness in the Tulare Hospital.
Mr. Harvell, a native, of Alabama, had resided in Rosamond off and on for many 
years, but had been a permanent resident the last 12 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leona Harvell and 15 children: Ester Estelle, 
Houston, Texas; Ernest Harvell, San, Diego; Mary Ardell Miles, Virginia; Anna 
May Davidson, Beaumont, Calif., William Cecil Harvell, Joe Burt HarveIl, Claudy 
Harvell, Robert Louis Harvell, Lois Aline James, Pearly Jean Smith, Dorothy Dee 
Bullington, Fanny Vaye Vial, Lorna HarveIl, Wanda June Harvell and Richard 
Harvell, all of Rosamond. He is also survived by his 34 grandchildren, and 6 great 
grandchildren. 
Services were held at the, Wayside Chapel, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. The officiant 
was Rev. Jack Eubanks. Internment was at the Joshua Memorial park in Lancaster.
