Born in Vale, South Dakota on January 8, 1909, he moved to California City in 1970 and worked as a landscaper for the city for 17 years. He was also a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses for 10 years. He is survived by his wife Kaarina Hill; sons, Gary Hill of Sacramento, California, Rick Hill of Amarillo, Texas, and Randy Hill of Mountain View, ^California; daughter, Pam Hooey of Palm Springs; and stepdaughter, Darlene Quintanar of California City; 8 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and 2 step- grandchildren. Services were held on May 21, 1998, by Leon Hart, California City Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses at Stickel Mortuary with burial at the California City Memorial Park.
