Source Unknown; Date Unknown Frederick Hilton, a 30-year resident of California City, CA passed away at the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, CA on July 18, 1999. He was born on August 31, 1924 in Washington, PA. Mr. Hilton served in the U.S . Navy from 1942 to 1945. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 25-years and was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Kennedy of Anaheim Hills, CA, Judy Hilton-Tanner of Lake Arrowhead, CA; sons Frederrek Hilton of Harrison, AK, Jerome Hilton of Saipan, CNMI, USA, and James Hilton of Harrison, AK, 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary R. Hilton in 1998. Graveside services were held on July 21, 1999 at California City Memorial Cemetery. Close friend, Albert Rutledge delivered the eulogy, The Knights of Columbus were honorary pallbearers. The VFW and American Legion were also represented. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Mable Davis Senior Center, 10221 Heather Avenue, California City, CA 93505. Arrangements by Stickel Mortuary.
