Source Unknown; Date Unknown Nov. 13, 1926 – Jan. 14, 2005 Tehachapi resident Donn Welton Holden, 78, died Jan. 14 after a short battle with kidney cancer. Donn was born on Nov. 13, 1926 in Casnovia, Mich. to parents Clyde and Audrey Holden. He was a machinist's mare second class in the United States Navy, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during World War II. Donn devoted his life to law enforcement and retired as chief of police in Dinuba. He will be missed and always loved and respected by all who knew him. Donn is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annette Holden of Tehachapi; sons, Gary Holden and wife Erlinda of Lancaster and Eric Holden of Tehachapi; daughters, Linda Payton and husband Neil of Sacramento and Rhonda Hendricks and husband Leonard of Ione; grandchildren Brian, Chris, Shannon, Brandon, Annette, Garylin, Anna, Brittney, Lacy, Desi, Kerrie and Kyle; 15 great- grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Baugh and husband Ray of Oregon.
