Source Unknown; 7 May 1953 Boron Man KIlled Odron Jones, 54, born August 5, 1898, Everton, Missouri, passed away near Boron Calif. April 27, 1953. Employed as a signal maintainer for Santa Fe Railway, he, was instantly killed when a power line pole being installed along the new railroad right-of-way fell upon his head. Funeral services were held under the direction of O'Donnell Funeral Home, Mojave, Calif. Sat. at 10:00 a.m., May 2, 1953 at Community Methodist Church in Lancaster with Rev. F. Bruce Ellis, pastor officiating. Interment followed at Joshua Memorial Park Cemetery, Lancaster, Calif. Survivors: Maud M. Jones, Edwards, Calif. son, Clinton Jones Edwards, Calif., Robert C. Jones, U. S. Navy, So. Pacific; daughters Miss Shirley Jones, Mrs. Norma Luczak, Mrs. Betty O'Keefe, Mrs. Virginia Massey all of Edwards, Calif. and Mrs. Bonnie Pierce, Birmingham, Ala. sister: Mrs. Lela Larry, Downey, Calif., brothers Garland Jones, Lynwood, Calif.; Chester Jones, Winslow, Arizona.
