He was born on July 2, 1938 in Whittier, CA. Robert grew up in Hesperia and graduated from Victor Valley High School where he competed in track, football and earned medals in the shot-put. He worked for Southwestern Portland Cement Company in Victorville, California and for Continental Telephone Company in the various communities of Southeast Kern County from where he eventually retired. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A quiet and thoughtful man, Robert is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Leone Jungers and his infant sister, Lois Fay. Robert is survived by his aunt Jessie Cooper of Banning, CA; his brother Joseph Cottrell of Hesperia, CA; two sisters, Lorraine (Cottrell) Moffat of Hesperia, CA, Lola May (Cottrell) Bower of Roseville, CA; the mother of his four children, Margo Carriere of Apple Valley, CA; children, Terri Lynn (Jungers) Gonzales of Boron, CA, Stephen Dale Jungers of North Edwards, CA., Robert Gregory Jungers of California City, and Lori Ann (Jungers) Espinoza of Cerritos, CA; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held at Victor Valley Mortuary with interment at Victory Valley Memorial Park, Victorville, CA.
