Source Unknown; 9 Aug 1945 REPORTED KILLED IN ACTION Another gold star, the twelfth, was added to the American Potash & Chemical Corporation's service flag this week when Sergeant Earl E Keller, 32, Army Air Corp gunner was reported killed in action. He had not been heard from since having been reported missing in action over Germany in February, 1944, while on his thirteenth bombing mission. Sergeant Keller was the nephew of R. E. Lucas of Trona and the son of Mrs. Monnie R Keller of Bakersfield.
