Rites To Be Held For Tom Kelly
Tom Kelley, former sheriff of Kern county, died shortly before noon on Monday, 
Oct. 24, in the Mercy Hospital at Bakersfield. Death came as the result of a
non-collision auto accident on. Hwy 466 near Caliente Wash on October 16th.
Tom had a long career as a law enforcement officer and leaves a host of friends 
besides his widow and five children. He had taken a job as guard at the Tehachapi
Men's Prison.
Rosary services were conducted Wednesday, October 26 at the Hopson Mortuary 
Chapel in Bakersfield.
