Source Unknown; Date Unknown Dec. 8, 1919 – Oct. 16, 2004 Graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery - Eastside for Dora Mell Killingsworth, 84, who passed away in Bakersfield on Oct. 16. Dora was born on Dec. 8, 1919, in Chillicothe, Texas to Phillip and Edna Durham. She was married to Marion Killingsworth on Oct. 20, 1937, in Quanah, Texas. They moved to Tehachapi in 1949, where she was employed by Tehachapi Cleaners for six years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Tehachapi from 1952 to 1998, when she and her husband moved to Bakersfield to live with their daughter. Dora will be remembered as a peacemaker, Sunday School teacher and an avid quilter. She was a "Godly" example of a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Dora will be missed by many left behind, but received and welcomed in heaven by her husband of 65 years, Marion; 2 sons, Woodrow and Gerald; and two great-grandchildren, Kirsten and Timothy; a brother; and six sisters. Dora is survived by her daughter Paula Bozarth and husband Jim; grandchildren Kevin Bozarth and wife Jeri, Kyle Bozarth and wife Alisha, Greg Killingsworth and wife Noelle, and DeLynn Killingsworth; 10 great-grandchildren, all of Bakersfield; sister Alice Howes of Hatch, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
