Thomas was a 1 year resident of California City, and has also resided in Lancaster, CA and Wichita Falls, TX. Thomas was born December 21, 1945 in Holy Oke, Massachusetts. He was a Photo Engineer for 22 years. He served his country for 22 years, and was a 100% disabled Vietnam Vet. Thomas received the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Award, and the Purple Heart. He was also a member of the V.F.W., D.A.V., N.R.A., and the American Legion. Thomas was a proud veteran, a loving father, son, brother, and a very good friend. He leaves to mourn his wife of 34 years, Lupe Kirkbride, of California City, CA; three daughters, Marti Zamorano, of West Hills, CA; Michelle Kirkbride, of California City, CA; Vanessa Venegas of California City, CA; two sons, Leandro Kirkbride of California City, CA; and Thomas Kirkbride Jr., of Newport News, VA; 10 grandchildren and host of relatives and friends. His mother, Helen Kirkbride, and his brother, Larry Kirkbride preceded him in death. Services were held January 8, 2001 at Stickel Mortuary at 4 p.m., conducted by the family.
