Tehachapi Man Passes Away
John Donald Matthews, who for many years was an employee, of the General 
Patroleum Company passed away on October 12 at Tehachapi after a prolonged 
illness. He was born at Millsap, Texas on January 15, 1892 and is survived by his 
wife, Ada Mae Matthews of Tehachapi and sisters Mrs. Nettie B. Bulgier of Los 
Angeles and Mrs. Venia Cox of Compton, Calif.
Services under the direction of the O'Donnell Funeral Home will be held Thursday, 
October 15 in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Stanley H. Addison of the Community 
Congregational Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Eastside Cemetery in 
Tehachapi, California.
