Source Unknown; 1 Aug 1957 Boron Resident Called By Death Mr. John Matull passed away Tuesday, July 30th at 2 p.m. at the Mojave Hospital. Of European birth, Mr. Matull came to California several years ago and made his home in Boron. . For some time he had been a coal miner in the East but since coming here he had been employed by the Pacific Coast Borax Co retiring in 1954. Locally, the O'Donnell Funeral Home is in charge, but following Rosary Wednesday night at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boron and Mass the following morning (Thursday) his body will be shipped to Jerry Lind, Ark., where he will be interred beside his wife. Mr. Matull was a past member of the Eagles Lodge, and currently a member of two Austrian Lodges, the S. N. P. J. and the S, S. P. Z. No. 21 of Panama, Okla. Surviving him are nine children, two of whom live-in Boron, a daughter, Mrs. Helen Bucoh and son, John Matull.
