Source Unknown; 17 Apr 1952 McGregor Passes In San Francisco William Hutchins 'Bill' McGregor, age 62, passed away at the Southern Pacific Hospital Tuesday, April 15. He had retired from the S. P, service in Sept. 1951 after 44 years with that company. He leaves his wife, Vivian McGregor, and a host of friends to mourn his passing. He had lived in the Palmdale area for many years and was the "Helper" service between Lancaster and Vincent. He moved to Mojave about 10 years ago and until his retirement had been on the KI or Mojave Monolith run. The retired engineer was a member of the BPOE, Lancaster and was also a veteran of World War I having served as a Sergeant of Co D, Development Bn. No.1, in 1918. Services will be held at the O'Donnell Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, April 19 at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Foy King, Mojave Baptist Church, officiating musician and vocalist will be Mrs. Frances Bowlin. Interment will follow in the Mojave Cemetery.
