Charles Ivar Nelson, 60, of Tehachapi died at his home on Wednesday, November 25, from 
natural causes. He was born December 26, 1937 in Los Angeles.
Mr. Nelson was a computer consultant specializing in M.R.P. In 1978 he married Sharon 
Schwind and the couple made their home in Encino. For the past four years they have lived 
in Bear Valley Springs where they owned property for many years. Mr. Nelson enjoyed 
fishing, golfing and camping. His family loved him dearly and he will be missed.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon, of Bear Valley Springs, Tehachapi; two daughters and 
two sons-in-law, Karen and Tim Carroll, of Apple Valley and Kim and Mark Nelson, of Chico; 
two sons, Tim and Jon Nelson of Apple Valley; three grandchildren, Tim, Jeff and Jamie 
Carroll all of Apple Valley. He will also be missed by Sam and Dunnigan.
Mr. Nelson is cherished by his relatives and friends who held a memorial gathering at 
the Nelson's home in Tehachapi. Private burial will take place at Chico Cemetery next to his 
parents, Marjorie and Roy Rockstrom.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Newton-
Bracewell Chico Funeral Home.
