Mojave Desert News; 31 March 1949

In an accident which occurred a short distance north of the Wagon Wheel last 
Saturday evening in the series of dips on the Trona Randsburg Road, W. C. Hardy, 
employed as a welder by th A.P. & C. Corp., and Glenn B Nichols also of Trona lost 
their lives when their motors left the highway and turned over. Hardy's body was 
sent to Kelford, N.C., where his parents reside. Nichols was employed as a retail 
clerk in the Mercantile Dept., of the company and had been in Trona since November 
1947.
