Rita Lorraine Odle, 78, passed away on Oct. 28 
at her home in Bear Valley Springs. 
Rita was born on April 30, 1926, in Havre, Mont. 
to Loren and Etta McLain. She married Kress H. 
Odle on Aug. 3, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nev. They 
moved to Bear Valley Springs in June 1989 from 
Redondo Beach. 
Rita was a past member of the Bear Valley 
Springs Women's Club and the Sportsmans 
Lodge.
Rita is survived by her beloved husband of 46 
years, Kress Odle of Bear Valley Springs; 
children, Linda Hamilton, Tim Odle, Debbie Leger 
and husband Leonard, all of Lawndale; 
daughter-in-law Joyce Hurban of Morgan, Texas; 
brother Dick McLain and wife Gay of Florida; 
sister Shirley Padilla of Moreno Valley; 10 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She 
was preceeded in death by her eldest son, 
Anthony Hurban, in 2002.
Rita was loved by all that knew her and she will 
be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 
Optimal Hospice Care at 4800 Stockdale 
Highway, Suite 215, Bakersfield, CA 93309-
2636. 
Wood Family Funeral Service handled the 
cremation arrangements.
